One Month Favourites : baby

newborn: One Month Favourites

It's been a little more than a month and my little guy already has a few favourites. Or is it mom's favourites? Either way if we are both happy means bliss.
Being a first time mom the transition to motherhood can be stress free with the right products. Of course what works for me might not work for you. Every baby is different!

Fisher Price Newborn to Toddler portable rocker: although this rocker doesn't have alot of "bells & whistles" my baby loves sitting in it. I recently left it at the grandparents house so he has his own chair when we visit. He doesn't care much for the vibration function but likes the "twinkle twinkle" melody.

Maxi-Cosi Piazzo Play Yard: I have this set up in my bedroom and this is where baby has been sleeping. I admit I let baby fall asleep in the bed with me and transfer him over. Safety caution: I am not promoting co-sleeping, you have to find what works best for you. Other features I like: the storage shelves where I keep everything I need handy, and nightlight with melody and vibration. Tip: keep plenty of wipes and diaper in the shelves unit + onesies, also nursing pads.
I don't use the change diaper unit as it tends to lean on one side + I find it easier to change him on the bed.

Fisher Price My Little Lamb Cradle' n Swing: this was a hand me down & although the battery unit doesn't work my baby loves falling asleep in it. I just manually swing him to sleep. I have this in the living room and comes in handy while I do household chores. The plush removable seat is the key of this swing as it's so cozy and forms to baby's body.

Peg Perego Skate stand: another hand me down. This product is to be used in conjunction with a stroller but I use it as a stationary bassinet. The first few weeks this is where he slept during the day. I have this in the living room. Also, has a handy storage unit underneath where I keep diapers, wipes, and onesies.

The first few weeks your baby sleeps and eats! Having more than one sleeping area is easier for those breastfeeding. Keep it simple on yourself by having diaper changing baskets throughout the house. For me the bedroom and living room is where I spend the most time so by having easy access to the most used items makes it easier on you and baby.

Any must-have baby favourites?
