house hunting express

My husband and I are on month five of house/condo shopping. And boy its like looking for a needle in a haystack! We have put in three offers on three separate locations with no avail. But we're not worried yet! Seems like housing in Toronto is HOT HOT! Or just the places we like + being on a budget as this will be our first "grown-up" place is proving to be hard...thus far I've learned not to get emotionally attached to any of the homes. As I did the first place we saw. With every weekend off we go and spend our afternoons at Open Houses & our realestate agent is our new BFF. Was really hoping to have our own place for the Holidays.
Share your house hunting experiences! I want to read about the good & ugly.

  1. YAY for house-hunting. Our (my fiance and I) experience is not an exciting one because we got the condo we wanted BUT let me tell you, it happened extremely fast. We saw it, got an inspection, offered and signed the deal within a week and a half. The market in Vancouver is also hot and we found that if you like something you needed to go after it right away. Or else it might not be there. But it sounds to me that you`re already aware of that.....good luck and keep us posted!!! Congrats again on the wedding

  2. I was in the exact same boat up until a couple of weeks ago - I was looking for a condo in Toronto and my search took me just over 5 months! If I can give you once piece of advice, it is to be patient - good things come to those who wait!
