J.Crew has crossed the border! {Canada's first store opens}

J. Crew has crossed into the Northern border! Its first store opened August 18 at Toronto's Yorkdale Shopping Mall (an old favourite mall which was where I actually held my first job as a teenager...the memories) which is one of Toronto's best shopping destination. Haven't actually had the chance to stop by but maybe its best I stay away this weekend as I'm sure the line-ups will be long...Fall 2011 here I come!

Que Bella!

W Magazine just seems to get it right when it comes to my favourite magazine spreads. The September 2011 cover with Kirsten Stewart caught my eye and I had to share with all of you because the makeup is phenomenal! The Valley of the Dolls inspired makeup looks gorgeous on Stewart, love that now that the Twilight movies are coming to the end its time to step away from her character Bella.

July Beauty Favourites {monthly edition}

July beauty faves

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer
Light weight, concentrated colour concealer-a little goes along way! Shade: Light Golden blends nicely with my skintone. Again, just a dot is all you need so don't let the price tag scare you. Doesn't go on cakey, a smooth liquid/creamy concealer. Available at (Canadian ladies get your mouse over to for hard to find makeup lines in Canada. Free shipping over $75 yay!)

Jk Jemma Kidd Pro Finish Moisture Tint SPF 20
Finally I got to try Jemma Kidd makeup, wanted to try this makeup line ions ago. Found this at Target in the U.S, but also sells JK makeup I didn't see this item on their site (perhaps in the future, anyhow Canadian readers keep your eye out  & let me know too). A sheer tinted moisturizer, has a pleasant scent but would prefer none. Also, available in an oil-free version. Would pick this up again!

Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector
This power packed serum is loaded with goodies! Skin corrector, wrinkle reducer, pore minimizer, and evens skin! Sounds too good to be true right?  With 10 years of research & 2 years to develop Lancome has done their research. Almost at 4 weeks of using this & skin is more even. Pores in the cheek area look clearer, no effect on laugh lines though....maybe I should stop laughing. With all the stress of planning a wedding thankfully this product came along.

Tea Tree Water - Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics
Great toner for hot, sweaty months. Especially a heat wave which Toronto experienced in July.

Lancome Juicy Tubes in shade Peace & Flower
Juicy Tubes an old fave in my kit, packaging is limited-edition. Cute bubble gum sparkly pink that's sheer on lips. A nice shimmer gloss for Summer.

Mary Kay® Lash Love™ Mascara
A new MK product and love! I'm no longer buying bushy bristle wand mascaras why because they just don't separate lashes like rubber wands. And this new Lash Love Mascara is a skinny rubber wand lengthens and adds volume. Reminds me of Maybelline Lash Discovery Mascara (which I believe is discontinued). Great new product!

Yes To Carrots™ Age Refresh Eye Firming Treatment
Creamy eye lotion that's light weight! Paraben-free which is even better:) Pleasant light scent.

What were your July beauty picks?

Wedding Planning on the Brain

With wedding planning in full swing and no wedding planner this is what my "planning HQ's" aka my basement is beginning to look like. Even my bridal blog is loosing steam...with so many ideas to post believe me its not for a lack of inspiration its for a lack of time. Juggling my work load which involves flying around the world (yeah really boo hoo right?) I'd rather be home. In the meantime if your having bridal parler withdrawal symptoms catch up with older posts, the blog's only four years old!
Anyhow, hope your all enjoying your Summer!
