Backstage Access: WMCFW Fall/Winter 2014

The action at WMCFW is backstage by the makeup and hair stations. Atleast for me...being a beauty blogger and reporting backstage on the upcoming beauty/hair trends is the best part of blogging.

The work that goes on backstage is immense and the group of artists involved is even more so. The amazing lead makeup artist for Maybelline Canada, Grace Lee, is always so calm, cool and collected. The lead hairstylist for Redken Jorge Joao is always so friendly.  I don't know how they keep up all week but every season they do!

a few favourite looks from the week:
Pink Tartan, influenced by the recent Polar Vortex we all endured this past Winter. This look was about wintery sunkissed cheeks caused by windburn combined with a frosty sheen.

Narces, feminine and glamour topped with a classic red lip mirrors the Fall/Winter 2014 collection of flirty dresses.

Matthew Gallagher, inspired by antique family photos. A dramatic dark lip paired with milky complexions was a perfect interpretation of those long forgotten albums.
