on trial {Revlon DoubleTwist Mascara}

If clumpy lashes is the look your after than you have found your match. Most of my readers know that I will not spend a fortune on mascara because I truly believe that its a beauty product that you don't have to splurge on. However, NEW Revlon DoubleTwist™ Mascara was a disappointment! Lashes are left clumpy & a mess.
Revlon's claim:
MASSIVE Volume. REMARKABLE Definition.
Revolutionary 2-in-1 brush.
Thickening Brush + Separating Combs = The Ultimate Lash Look
Available in 4 shades, including a new signature Revlon® shade, Blackened Ruby.

I purchased this in Blackest Black (of course! I always buy the blackest shade available) & I will say that the shade is a plus, the only good thing about this mascara. I get the idea behind the 2-in-1 brush, however that's what makes this mascara so clumpy. The wand itself is a clumpy mess & the liquid is thick. Once on it also smudges & is difficult to wash off, I have the non-waterproof mascara.
Verdict: save your money ladies! I'm sentencing the Revlon DoubleTwist™ Mascara to the trash. Sorry Revlon! On a side note (not to be too negative) ColorStay™ Makeup with SoftFlex™ for Combination/Oily Skin foundation is one of my favourite "budget" beauty recommendations.

Has anyone tried this mascara? Your thoughts?

  1. I just find my lashes fall off when I try drugstore mascara. I don't know if I'm the only one. So I stick with Diorshow and Effet faux cils from Yves Saint-Laurent.

  2. Oh dear, lash fall-out! Thankfully I've never had that issue. However, its funny you've mentioned Diorshow as everyone keeps mentioning this mascara to me. To splurge or not to splurge!?

  3. Not worth the money, if you have no problems with lashes falling off. It's a good mascara but not that different from drugstore in term of final look.

  4. I'm surprised at everyone's response on here. I actually have this and I have to say that I'm pleased with it. My lashes didn't clump at all and didn't fall out at all either. I found the comb on it to be useful.

  5. Hi Donnna,
    I actually thought the brush was pretty cool! But I think the problem is with the liquid, mine was too thick making it clumpy. But I love comments & hearing other peoples thoughts because what works for one person might not work for someone else:)
