Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo {review}

On to the topic of facial hair, yes we all have it. Some more than others and hair colour will vary but we all want to get rid of it. There are numerous methods of facial hair removal systems out in the market, problem is a few methods are painful while others are not. In this case Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo is the latter. In the past I've either waxed, which is not an option for me anymore as I get little bumps afterwards and quite frankly it hurts. Or threaded, which is not a bad option but prefer threading only for my eyebrows. The Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo is an effective and painless system which I used for my upper lip area. I was a little skeptic as other hair removal systems left me red & left a chemical burn. But as a beauty blogger I dare say I'm a little brave...
Its simple and painless!
Step 1: Skin Guarding Balm-looks & feels like lip balm, applied to skin area prior to hair removal cream. Helps soften the area & provide a protective barrier. Message the balm into your skin, going beyond the area to be treated just to ensure the hair removal cream itself doesn't come into direct contact with skin.
Step 2: Hair Removal Cream-a water based cream which is applied to the area of which the balm was applied. Wait 6-8 minutes (no longer than 10 minutes), wipe off, rinse skin & voila hairless!
Skin was left soft and smooth, no redness and no irritation! Wish there was a hair removal system that good for the rest of the body. Olay Smooth Finish Hair Removal Duo gets two thumbs up!
Available in Canada as of October 3, 2011 & retails approx. $29.99 CDN

Ralph Lauren Spring 2010 {NYFW}

Pretty pastels, flowy soft fabrics and the 1920's are Lauren's influence for his Spring 2012 collection. Fresh and breezy come to mind as does sipping a spritzer on the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts on a cool Spring evening.

Nanette Lepore Spring 2012 {NYFW}

A neon colourful display of clothing with a retro twist, loving this collection! Most would shy away from such bright colours but I find it playful, reminiscent of the popular florescent shades of the 80's (did I just age myself...oh dear!). Bring it on, colour that is!

Swarovski Fashion Suite at the TIFF {local events}

The Toronto International Film Festival {TIFF} has wrapped up here in Toronto. With a wedding to plan and only three more weeks to go, my energy is fully focused on last minute preparations therefore no film reviews on my part. However, I did make time to visit Swarovski's Fashion Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel. When champagne is being poured and bling bling on display I'm so there...

Such gorgeous pieces on display. Really no need to wear anything else!

Soap & Glory Fab Pore™ Hot Cloth Cleanser
Bought this with hopes that it would be similar to Liz Earle's Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, not so! This rich creamy cleanser actually made my skin irritated into little bumps. And didn't "melt away" my makeup as stated on packaging. I do love their packaging though & wording....

eos Lemon Drop with SPF 15 Lip Balm Sphere
I had read such great reviews on these little EOS lipbalms however didn't quite meet my expectations. Although moisturizing at first not long lasting & lips felt drier afterwards. Nice scent though & I'm not a fan of scented lip products.

Bright Here Bright Now™  The Soap And Glory Daily Muse
Another Soap & Glory disappointment! Was hoping this would make a great luminous moisturzier under makeup but felt like I had a film over my skin. Also, didn't like the orange-y scent.

L'Oréal Extra-Volume/Hydra-Collagen Mascara
A clumpy mess, the brush looks cheap & doesn't apply mascara on lashes evenly. Smudges & wouldn't purchase again.

Oilatum Cream | Dry Skin Cream- Oilatum Skin Care
In all fairness this cream is meant for eczema & itchy skin, however after watching youtube "beauty gurus" rave about it so much I had to have it. This was a thick cream (as expected) that I used on my face, wanted it for dehydrated days (when I travel) left me with puss-filled pimples on my forehead which I've never had not even as a teen....go figure that's all I need before my Wedding day!
