Bloggers Beauty Secrets: featuring Prime Beauty

Spill your beauty secrets: Prime Beauty

There are countless beauty blogs across the web, but which one caters to you and your needs can be hard to find. Women's skincare and beauty needs are different at any stage of our lives. One blog that caters to women over 40 years of age is Prime Beauty! Written by Cindy, she hopes to inspire women to look and feel great while in their prime. From drug store finds to the latest beauty releases Cindy covers it all. In her own words here's her beauty secrets!

Age: 45-55
skin type: Combination to dry. I still get shiny in the T-Zone-- more in summer than winter
skin concerns: Aging skin, sun damage in the form of dark spots, crow's feet & under eye bags (lucky me), starting to get a loss of firmness
Skin care regime:
Cleanser- Somme Institute cleanser (gentle, effective)
Serum- Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collegen Booster (Vitamin C, helps with skin texture and brown spots)
Moisturizer- Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream (hydrating without being greasy but nonetheless a rich cream)
Eye Cream- Kiehl's Rose Artica Eye Balm (I love mixing this with my concealer to keep my under eye area moisturized all day)
Face Primer-on occasion will use a primer, Reviva Labs Makeup Primer, (never heard of anyone not liking it)

Secret beauty weapon:

Talika Heated Eyelash CurlerI will NOT go back to a regular eyelash curler. Yes, I am spoiled now!   The soft heated pad heats up literally in seconds and fits the shape of my eye perfectly.  It doubles the curl of my lashes.  The heated pad is safe and gentle; it is temperature controlled so it can’t get too hot so no worries about damage. Just push the lever up and when the red pad turns white you’re ready to curl! BEFORE your mascara, softly squeeze eyelashes with curler and hold for 30-45 seconds.  You will be amazed at the difference. The curler does not pinch or pull, it fits naturally into your hand and the curve of your eye–the mild heat actually feels really good!  It takes 2 AAA batteries which come with the curler. The best thing is that this curl LASTS all day!
