messy hair for Fall 2014: trends

Messy hair and I don't care! My favourite motto as I have no patience when it comes to styling my hair. Although, messy hair can be work too. Don't let the messy hair trend fool you as easy-on-the-go. Maybe for some. For me it's still pretty do-able but I don't want you to think all hair types can easily achieve this. I find that those with thick wavy hair can hold the messy hair style the best. Those with fine thin hair might need a little more work.
At the Dolce & Gabbanna F/W 2014 show, Redken styled the models hair into a messy soft romantic up do.
Create the Look
  1. Apply body full volume amplifier to damp hair
  2. Blowdry hair with a round brush
  3. Use a curling iron to add soft waves to the hair
  4. Lightly spray pillow proof blowdry two day extender on the mid-lengths and ends
  5. Create a loose braid
  6. Twist the braid around and pin into place

Up next is the super easy low ponytail as seen on the F/W'14 runway for Alberta FerrettiRedken created a soft loose low pontytail with loose strands framing the face.

Create the Look:
  1. Apply satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion to damp hair
  2. Blowdry hair with large round brush
  3. Create a messy natural part
  4. Spray pillow proof blowdry two day extender on mid-lengths and ends
  5. Pull hair back into a loose, low ponytail below the nape of the neck
  6. Secure hair with elastic
  7. Wrap a small piece of hair around the elastic to conceal it
  8. Secure wrap with pins
At the Reed Krakoff F/W'14 show Redken created a natural effortless loose hairstyle. Natural texture and clean washed hair is an easy look for all of us to do at home. I love this look the best for Fall!
Create the Look:
  1. Shampoo and condition the hair with Redken Pure Moisture shampoo and conditioner
  2. Apply satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion to damp hair
  3. Allow hair to dry naturally
  4. Use a curling iron to add movement into the mid-lengths and ends if necessary

Which is your favourite look for Fall/Winter 2014?
