With two boys under four years old it's not easy finding "me time". And, those few times that I have a few hours to myself I can feel slightly guilty. However, when it comes to my skin I try to invest in proper care and products. Now that I have less time for makeup I'd rather concentrate on facial care.
Being in my early 40s I know what works and doesn't for my facial skincare. For me, facials are essential. So, when I had the opportunity to review Ici Paris Skin Care Clinic and Spa, I knew I had to make the time in my busy schedule.
Consultation:
As this was my first time at Ici Paris Skin Care Clinic and Spa, I had a 30 min. skin consultation with Veronika, Clinic Operations Manager. Veronika, is so knowledgeable in skincare it was so enjoyable talking to her. Being in my early 40s I'd like to think I know my skin pretty well and which products work and don't. Veronika, confirmed two important factors; loss of collagen and elastin. And, prone to clogged pores in the t-zone. Plus, dehydrated...must remember to drink more water!!
Facial:
A personalized facial was performed to address the above skin issues. Cleansing, gentle steam, exfoliation, extractions, and various masks and serums. To finish a sterile high frequency wand was passed around the skin. Sounds like an electric current burning off bacteria (but there's no pain). The wand just skims the skin. Anita, the facialist finished with a relaxing head message. And, she has amazing hands!!
Overall:
Ici Paris Skin Care and Spa is now one of my top rated facials in Toronto. I love spa's that tend to be more private. Especially, when having a facial I love having a private room where I get undressed and dressed versus a locker area. I just want to go in and out. Not necessarily looking to spend a day hanging around saunas and pool areas once I finish a facial. So, for me Ici Paris Skin Care and Spa is that European facial speciality spa that addresses my needs perfectly. I just wished I lived closer!
