D.I.Y Apple Cider Vinegar toner {skincare}

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I've been trying more natural skincare methods. Normally, I'll use a leave-on salicylic acid product to prevent clogged pores & I'll still use a wash off cleanser or scrub that contains the ingredient. But with the hot weather clogged pores were inevitable so I searched online (basically Pinterest) and found variations of the Apple Cider Vinegar toner. The most basic having two ingredients:
ACV with the Mother
distilled or filtered water
bottle (mine is a Dollar Store bottle which I keep in a cool dark area)
Why Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother? Look for an ACV that is organic and contains the mother, which is the most beneficial and nutritional part of the vinegar.
Balances the pH level of your skin, kills bacteria, sheds dead skin, rich in AHA, and more...
Find the ratio that works best for you! I apply the toner every night, let it dry and my moisturizer. Find the right solution for you & do a skin patch test just in case you're sensitive. You can apply twice a day, morning and night.
After one week I've I noticed less bumps, blackheads and my skin tone looks more even.

Let me know if you make your own ACV toner?

  1. Will definitely be trying this Monica! And totally unrelated, but in about a year, those measuring cups will make a great baby toy (we have the same ones and my little guy loves stacking them!) :)
